Position Function/Purpose Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the subject area(s) assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society and be college ready.

Major Responsibilities 1. Coordinates club and school activities; assists in the supervision of school activities; schedules activities; maintains campus activity calendar; acts as liaison between vendors and club sponsors. 2. May coordinate University Interscholastic League academic activities, may disseminate information to UIL coaches, may ensure eligibility of participating students, and may track extra-curricular absences. 3. May coordinate transportation requests including field trips and activity bus requests. 4. Disseminates information, maintains campus bulletin boards, coordinates daily announcements, prepares the weekly campus bulletin, under the direction of the principal, and reports campus activities on regular basis to the district information officer. 5. Sponsors the Student Council and the Junior Class. 6. Coordinates major school events such as graduation, homecoming, junior/senior prom, assemblies, special programs, dances, carnivals, blood drives, etc. 7. Advises administrators regarding the financial status of clubs and organizations. 8. Maintains an understanding of the student activity fund accounting procedures as prescribed by policy and law. 9. Upholds and adheres to the safety rules and policies of the safety program. 10. Supports the goals and objectives of the School District and follows all District policies. 11. Demonstrates the ability to attend work on a regular and routine basis to avoid disruption of district operations. 12. Demonstrates a high level of independent, ethical, and professional conduct. 13. Performs any other duties as assigned by the appropriate supervisor.
