True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Job summary: 

    As an Activities Aide, your primary responsibility is to assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents. Your role is crucial in promoting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being by engaging them in meaningful and enjoyable activities. These activities may include games, arts and crafts, music therapy, exercise programs, outings, and social events. In this role one will assist in setting up activity areas, gathering supplies, and preparing materials needed for each activity, which promotes residents engagement in activities by providing encouragement, guidance, and assistance as necessary. Each activity is to be monitored and this job does require ability to be sensitive to residents' moods and provide emotional support during activities. The Activities Aide's role is essential in fostering a positive and stimulating environment that enhances residents' quality of life, promotes social interaction, and supports their overall health and happiness.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

    • Proficiently be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
    • Must be able to work independently and be able to work effectively as a team member.
    • Familiarity with variety of recreational activities suitable for different cognitive and physical abilities. 
    • Creativity and adaptability to assist engaging and enjoyable actives for residents interests and needs. 
    • Knowledge of geriatric care and activities of daily living (ADLs).
    • Must possess ability to support, encourage and strive for excellent level of care, which accommodates each resident in the ability to be independent and promotes their overall well-being.
    • Must have the ability to adapt to personalities of residents and/or coworkers and use tact in all forms of communication.  
    • Strong empathy and patience to provide emotional support and encouragement to resident during activities. 
    • Organizational and time management skills to support scheduled activates are facilitated efficiently. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Currently in High School or Graduate or GED. Must be 15 years or older. 
    • Must pass MN background check, accompanied with figure printing.  
    • Complete TB test within the first 3 weeks of employment.

    JOB SCHEDULE/LOCATION(S):

    • Hallock, MN 
    • Nursing Home/Long-term care setting 

    Shift Schedules

    • Part-time or flex
    • We offer shift differential pay for weekends worked
    • Every other weekend and holiday 

    Evening shift: 2:00 pm-8:00 pm or 4:00 pm-8:00 pm

    Weekend shift: 9:00 am-4:00 pm
