Job Responsibilities - Prepare detailed shop drawings and shop tickets using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to understand the requirements of the project. - Ensure all the drawings and designs meet the required specifications and standards. - Review and revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements. - Maintain and update the existing drawings and records for future reference. - Check dimensions, materials to be used, and quantities for accuracy. - Continuously learn and apply new drafting techniques to improve efficiency and quality of work. - Stay up to date with new drafting software and technology advancements Education / Experience / Skills - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field - Proficiency in AutoCAD, or other relevant CAD software - Understanding of drafting techniques and engineering concepts - Familiarity with building codes and compliance requirements - Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings - Experience with 3D modeling and visualization - Strong mathematical skills - Attention to detail and accuracy - Knowledge of construction methods and manufacturing / fabrication processes - Ability to create detailed drawings that meet project specifications and standards - Experience in creating Bill of Materials (BOM) - Experience as a draftsman or in a similar role - Ability to solve problems and make necessary corrections to designs - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Please email resume to: angela@structuralstonellc.com.
