Additionally, Structural Engineer provides reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Structural Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. We need a Structural Engineer ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment in support of PMS 300/325 - a Navy Ship Building Program.

    Responsibilities

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Master's in Engineering Preferred
    • 3 years Navy program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management
    • Preferred 5 years Navy program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management          
    • Preferred DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); Foreign Military Sales; Military Sealift Command procedures and processes
    • Professional Engineer License

    Qualifications

    The Contractor shall provide engineering/technical support for concept studies; feasibility studies; preliminary design activities; contract design activities; detail design and construction activities; independent design reviews; In-service ship design and engineering activities; shipboard installation support; and special studies related to ships/boats/craft, ship systems and/or shipboard equipment.
