We currently have an opening for a Structural Engineer with 5 years of building design and analysis experience in a consulting engineering design firm setting. We are looking for an engineer who can perform a broad range of designs and analysis including reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood framing systems. The successful candidate will bring a deep, successful track record of design, quality control and construction administration. In addition to an outstanding technical skillset, they will be a quick, flexible thinker and problem-solver who is accustomed to working in fluid teams on tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Research, plan and design a variety of buildings and non-building structures for government, industrial and commercial clients
Prepare code compliant plans and coordinate drawings for a broad range of designs utilizing reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood framing systems
Work on multidisciplinary design teams, primarily in house but also subconsultants
Collaborate with the all disciplines to prepare presentations and produce documents from schematic design through to the construction phase
Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction
Desired traits:
Experience with the design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood framing systems
Experience with RISA 3D and the RISA suite of structural analysis software or similar structural analysis software.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
PE License considered a plus, but not required
