     Assembles, tests, inspects, labels, packages and performs final processing of product, both electrically and mechanically. Performs duties within a team atmosphere and displays flexibility within a production environment. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform a wide variety of production assembly, development and repair work on complex harness/cable assembly and subassembly. This involves mechanical as well as electrical wiring operations, including fitting and alignment of parts to close tolerances using appropriate hand tools, calipers, microscopes, torque wrenches screwdrivers, scales, etc.
    • Point to point continuity/wire checking including electrical troubleshooting, inspect and repair same or similar equipment including some mechanical and electrical troubleshooting helpful
    • Auditing of kits, filling material shortages and support other operators in day-to-day activities
    • Maintain facilities, material, and work area while adhering to general good housekeeping practices and comply with all ethics, health, safety compliance and quality requirements
    • Create and work in a team environment while implementing Continuous Process Improvement
    • Have a production-oriented mind and attitude. Capable of handling repetitive work, while adhering to exacting specifications and tolerances
    • Ability to work on miniature microelectronic circuitry under stereo microscope
    • Ability to work with small and miniature tools such as miniature soldering iron, tweezers, x-acto knife, and similar
    • Ability to multitask, performing different jobs, duties, and tasks daily. 
    • Able to adapt to ever-changing priorities
    • The suitable candidate should be able to read technical specifications, schematics, mechanical assembly drawings and informal engineering sketches, notes, diagrams and be able to operate standard Microsoft Office software
    • Experience with general electronic test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, network analyzers a plus
    • Experienced level applicants should know the basic RF & Microwave components, terms, parameters, measurement techniques and their functions also a plus
    • Works well with limited supervision, holding themselves accountable for their own workload and priorities. 
    • Required to stand/or sit for long periods of time. Performs limited intermittent physical exertion. Required to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. Works under safe conditions with some occasional exposure to noise or heat. Performs general housekeeping duties daily in assembly area.
    • Follows health and safety rules, properly uses provided safety equipment and exercises caution in all work activities.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. 
    • Requires the ability to read, write and work with numbers, and display an above average attention to detail. 
    • Requires the ability to differentiate between electronic components and follow schematic drawings. Requires proficient soldering skills and hand tool use. 
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs helpful. 
    • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
