    Micron is seeking a Structural Engineer with Facilities Semiconductor design and construction experience to support major design and construction projects, including a new High Volume Manufacturing plant located in Boise, ID. Become a part of a dedicated projects team to provide high-quality engineering services and leadership while supporting a company culture of Safety, Innovation, and Customer Focus.

    This position requires the successful candidate to take ownership and drive success of the structural design and construction elements of projects.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Structural Engineering design and construction oversite of major construction projects
    • Ensure designs are safe
    • Ensure designs are cost effective
    • Review of Design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy
    • Review of engineering calculations and supporting documentation to ensure design quality
    • Review of NavisWorks 3D models relative to functionality, egress, ease of maintenance requirements, constructability, alignment with other engineering subject areas
    • Review and approval of submittals
    • Review and validation of construction RFI responses
    • Review and approval of shop drawings and construction models
    • Inspect construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
    • Ensuring compliance with Micron standards, Micron specifications, codes, laws, regulations, industry standards, and best known methods
    • Develop and validate cost estimates and construction schedules for structural portions of projects.
    • Develop criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements for new projects.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Structural Engineering or higher
    • Experience with major high-tech construction projects
    • Excellent analytical and good decision making skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
    • Excellent partnership and collaboration with other groups, internally and externally
    • Ability to solve problems across multi-functional and multi-cultural groups within and outside facilities
    • Ability to multi-task and lead team to meet complicated deadlines and goals
    • Drive for continuous improvement
    • Ability to develop strong relationships from multi-functional and multi-cultural groups
    • Exceptional customer focus
    • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
