Job Summary:

Responsible for assembly of components using a variety of hand & power tools, position parts and subassemblies, read work instructions and test equipment. Ability to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble/test medium sized fans is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Assemble components into devices in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures.
2. Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished product. Utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and custom fixtures, tools and assembly aids.
3. Each Assembler is responsible for moving products from/to next step in process.
4. Participate in meetings as required.
5. Maintain product quality integrity by using proper attire and adherence to practices and procedures.
6. Maintain accurate and timely records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, labor (e.g. timecards) and special projects.
7. Strictly adhere to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices, regulatory requirements per Spruce Environmental Technologies.
8. Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor.
9. Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed.
10. Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
11. Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.

Requirements

Specific Skills Preferred:

1. Good written and oral communication skills.
2. The workers need to be able to pay close attention as they do the same repetitive action for hours on end.

Education/Experience Required: High School diploma or GED required.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Manufacturing environment with controlled temperatures.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Fine motor dexterity necessary
• Assemblers often perform their jobs while standing
• Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within arms’ length, reach overhead, stoop and bend..
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 15-20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision.
