At Conax, the Materials Director is responsible for the global strategy, planning, and execution of purchased components and services to ensure the timely delivery of products to our customers. Conax Technologies is a global manufacturing company and is headquartered in Buffalo, NY. Our manufacturing domestic manufacturing locations are in Buffalo, NY and Tempe, AZ and internationally, we have a Philippines manufacturing location. This position will direct and support the strategic sourcing for all our manufacturing locations.

The Materials Director provides leadership for the development and implementation of domestic and global supply chain plans and programs in support of the vertical market and product business strategies. In this role, you will lead the global planning and execution of our supply chain architecture, various materials initiatives pertaining to containment and cost reduction, supply base quality improvement initiatives, and supply base lead time reduction initiatives. We are looking for a leader who is capable of initiating ERP changes to improve supplier management, execution, and performance.

If you have previous leadership experience in planning, purchasing, and inventory control within a lean manufacturing environment and have a bachelor’s degree, then we are interested in hearing from you. We are ideally looking for someone with familiarity with kanban systems and inventory optimization that has a strong desire to learn and drive lean principles. Familiarity and experience with Odoo a plus.

Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual teammates. Salary range for this role is $85,000 - $140,000 annually based upon experience.
