Strategic Planning Director directs and oversees an organization's strategic and long-range goal planning function. Drives strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals. Being a Strategic Planning Director analyzes emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, the viability of outside business partners, and sources of capital. Establishes and retains relationships with industry analysts and the investment community. Additionally, Strategic Planning Director utilizes data-driven methodologies to analyze business performance metrics and process improvement options effectively. Develops reporting and tools to communicate strategic plans and concepts to leadership. Conducts periodic status reviews of organizational goals and objectives to identify roadblocks to progress. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Strategic Planning Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Requirements Gathering: Meet with sponsors and stakeholders to understand project needs.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal and external

    stakeholders.

    Effective Communication: Communicate project progress, outcomes, and strategic impact to

    This role is pivotal in driving Cox Automotive's enterprise data strategies by establishing and nurturing strategic 3rd party partnerships.

    Product Knowledge and Opportunity Identification:

    Develop data-related partnerships with third parties, leveraging their expertise to influence our strategy and explore new business opportunities.

    Dependency and Value Alignment:

    Increase partners' reliance on Cox Automotive by aligning our value proposition with their business needs.

    Integrate services to enhance partner satisfaction and loyalty.

    Escalation Point and Market Insights:

    Act as an escalation point for decision-makers and stakeholders at partner organizations.

    Provide valuable market feedback to CAI leadership, including insights on competitive offerings and prospect requirements.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • 10 years of progressively responsible experience in business strategy, consulting, process implementation, or related functions.

    • A proven ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans.

    • 6 years of leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to guide teams and achieve results.

    • Evidence of successful leadership in a global matrix environment, collaborating across functions, business units, and diverse geographies.

    • A track record of mastery in execution and project management.

    • Proficiency in scoping requirements for delivering products and strategic initiatives.

    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

    • Demonstrated advanced strategic and analytical skills.

    • Proven success in developing and implementing impactful, practical business/data strategies.

    • Previous experience leading teams of senior professionals in data-related fields.

    • Advanced management skills to lead individuals directly and indirectly in a matrixed organization.

    • A strong ability to influence decision-makers across functions and business units.

    • A history of successfully establishing buy-in for innovative ideas.

    • An academic degree (BA or BS) is required.

    • An advanced degree (MBA or Master's) is preferred.

    • Background in business, finance, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related fields is advantageous.

    USD 156,200.00 - 260,400.00

    Compensation:

    Compensation includes a base salary of $156,200.00 - $260,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

    The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
