    Job Description Summary
    The search will remain open until the position has been filled. First consideration will be given to applications received by January 31, 2024. Applications received after January 31, 2024, may be reviewed depending on search progress and needs, but are not guaranteed full consideration.

    BASIC FUNCTION:

    Responsible for managing the departments training through the University’s Learning Management System (LMS). Provide in person training to various university departments as needed. Manage content of departments website including policies, procedures, forms, etc. Perform weekly and monthly reconciliation of employee cash advances and travel accounts. Provide backup to all accounting managers including disbursements, accounts payable, and travel and expense. Assist in the testing of University’s ERP and Procure to Pay System.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Provide training to internal staff, University staff, faculty and researchers on new and existing systems, upgrades to the University’s ERP system, Procure to Pay system, and any other University, State or Federal regulations, policies, or procedures.
    Develop and maintain departments training materials through the University’s LMS.
    Manage content of University’s Procure to Pay website. Provide support in updating departments policies, procedures, and forms as needed.
    Reconcile employee cash advances and travel accounts on a monthly basis, and work with department(s) on collection of outstanding advances. Work with Office of Sponsored Projects to reconcile research advances in a timely manner.

    Assist in testing fixes, upgrades, and in implementation of new modules within the University’s ERP and P2P system. Provide testing support to end users.
    Provide backup to all Accounting Managers for all disbursement transactions including, but not limited to, student refund checks, accounts payable checks, special handling checks, and ACH payments. Review of accounts payable and expense report transactions.
    Assist with various project assignments and provide year-end support to the Procure to Pay department.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Provide assistance to the staff in the Procure to Pay office when necessary.
    Perform additional duties as required.

    LICENSES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
    Personal computers, printers, word processing, database and spreadsheet software.


    Required Qualifications
    REQUIRED:

    1. Bachelor’s Degree

    2. Minimum of three years of experience as an accountant, auditor or analyst.

    3. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

    4. Demonstrated experience with complex financial software systems (e.g. Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workday).

    5. Demonstrated training experience.

    6. Demonstrated presentation skills.

    7. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

    8. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.

    9. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.

    Preferred Qualifications
    PREFERRED:

    1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field.

    2. Demonstrated experience working in Government, University or Not for Profit organization.

    3. Demonstrated experience working with a travel and expense reporting software program.

    4. Demonstrated experience auditing travel reimbursements.

    5. Demonstrated ability to interpret institutional policies, plans, objectives, rules, and regulations and to communicate the interpretation to others.
