Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity. Being a Strategic Planning Analyst may be responsible for external corporate communications with industry analysts and the investment community. May also be responsible for recommending strategic alternatives and developing and maintaining operational plans. Additionally, Strategic Planning Analyst requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to project leader or manager. The Strategic Planning Analyst works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Vice President of Business Development, the Manager of Strategic Planning will manage the strategic planning process for assigned business concepts, opportunities, projects and/or initiatives, provide health-system-wide planning support services, oversee and/or execute business intelligence services, supervise assigned planning staff, and otherwise manage the day-to-day operations of the strategic planning department.The manager of strategic planning will seek and maintain knowledge of pertinent hospital and health care issues. He/she will be proficient in the development of strategic goals and objectives and will be able to make fact based decisions through data analyses. The manager will demonstrate the ability to manage planning projects on budget and on time. He/she will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and represent the department on any system committees or teams as needed/applicable. He/she will support the mission, vision, values and goals of the St. Joseph/Candler Health System and adhere to established policies and guidelines of the St. Joseph/Candler Health System.
