JOB TITLE: Schedule Analyst (SME)

LOCATION: Huntsville, AL
REPORTS TO: SABG Program Manager
FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt

SUMMARY: SABG is hiring a full-time Schedule Analyst (SME) to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Huntsville, AL.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

• Demonstrates schedule knowledge and ability equal to Advanced Scheduler, and is a recognized expert at performing schedule risk assessments (SRA), and integrating schedule information with acquisition strategies, funding, and EVM data

• Identify and ensure key analytics are measured and reported

• Advise Program/Product Office (PPO) when establishing credible schedule processes and incorporates industry best practices based on program scope, criticality, resources, and overall priority

• Collaborate with other agencies and stake holders on policies, procedures, analytics, and overall best practices to ensure valid credible information is provided to leadership

• Identify areas of improvement and implement Corrective Action Plans or Improvement Plans

• Conduct various types of reviews - Integrated Baseline Reviews, Schedule Deep Dives, Schedule Risk Boards and Risk Assessments both internal and external to the program

• Serve as a senior advisor to MDA leadership for schedule analysis, policy review and implementation, and overall training of scheduling team members

SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Capable of comprehending personnel space management and interior design to support stakeholder requirements. Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems. Advanced level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office and Adobe software suites is required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BA/BS in related field with 15 years relevant experience; MA/MS, PMP or Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification may substitute for 3 years of experience

• Possess 15 years of direct experience related to scheduling and planning, to include advanced knowledge and experience with scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project Server/Primavera/Open Plan)

• Must possess high levels of interpersonal skills, organization, and presentation skills

• Ability to think critically, perform analysis, and possess high communication skills (written and spoken)

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
