Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Storekeeper typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.     Summary
    This position presents the exciting professional opportunity for you to grow your career and to make a difference by working to ensure the hiring of top talent committed to the revitalization of NJ TRANSIT.
    Roles and Responsibilities:
    • General knowledge of material and location thereof; must be thoroughly familiar with material management procedures and AAR classification of material.
    • Must be able to issue and expedite material and handle all inventories and practice good housekeeping.
    • The individual shall have the capability to occasionally lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds with various shapes and sizes.
    Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma / GED
    • Must have a valid Class "A" or Class "B" Commercial Driver's License with HAZMAT endorsement and submit a copy with BID and be qualified to operate highway truck and articulated fork lifts.
    • Must be physically able to load and unload cars and trucks.
    This is a Unionized position.
    Rate of pay:
    • The pay rate is $25.30 per hour as defined in the collective bargaining agreement and is non-negotiable.
