SUMMARY
Inventories, orders, receives, stores, stocks and distributes merchandise to the retail store by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
Orders merchandise and prepares requisitions to replenish merchandise on hand in retail store.
Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received.
Stamps, attaches, or changes price tags on merchandise, referring to price list.
Stocks storage area in proper space (space assigned for each item) and displays with new or transferred merchandise.
Transports merchandise from storage to other designated areas, using pallet jacks and forklifts as appropriate.
Sorts and places items on racks, shelves or pallets according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style or product code.
Maintains all work areas in a clean and orderly fashion, including boxes broken and placed in proper bin.
Ability to safely drive the Jelly Belly train
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
No prior experience or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certification on forklift and pallet jack preferred.
