Stock Clerk

FSI is looking to hire a stock clerk to join our team!

Job Summary

The stock clerk receives, stores and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice.
• Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
• Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material.
• Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
• Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock.
• Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.
• Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes and refusal of shipments.
• May mark identifying codes, figures or letters on articles.
• May distribute stock among productions workers, keeping records of material issued.
• May make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock.
• Interfaces with Supply Lead to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximization of schedule adherence
• Identifies needs and receives direction on real-time material increases or decreases.
• Identifies potential problems, troubleshoots, and participates in post-mortem analysis of problems providing input for future process improvements.
• Reviews ongoing performance results to targets.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
• Keeps Supply Lead promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
• Completes receipts in a timely manner.
• Perform all duties in conformance with company safety policies and procedures.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Software and other management software including GFEBS, Maximo and supply software.
• Experience in a receiving/warehouse environment is preferred.
• Must possess forklift certification or obtain certification within 30 days after employment.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Must possess or obtain a NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries).
