Under general supervision, responsible for maintaining filing systems to meet administrative, legal, regulatory, and financial requirements. Responds to internal and/or external information enquires. Maintains original documentation in permanent chart area. Reports to Program Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains complete current and historical client record.
- Maintains supporting documentation in an organized fashion and files when appropriate.
- Implements record retention and disposal schedules as required.
- Manages the changeover from paper to electronic management systems.
- Scans external reports and Part C documentation daily.
- Assists the Early Intervention Program with the break down of records on discharged clients timely and accurately.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Must have good communication skills, computer skills, ability to work with others as a team.
- Basic experience with office equipment (telephone, copy machine, fax).
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to interact others.
- Must possess the ability and willingness to work professionally with other personnel, patients, family members and guests.
- Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively unsupervised for extended periods of time.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prefers 1-2 years experience in Information Management or related fields.
The schedule will be M-F 9:00am – 3:30pm (30 hrs per week).
