POSITION SUMMARY
Sort, process, and enter (control) medical claims and complete office scanning for distribution to other departments. Assist Office Services staff in daily functions as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Manage and complete daily scanning tasks as needed – sort/count/scan/conduct quality control function, provide support for annual scanning or scanning projects.

Assist with daily mail and overnight courier deliveries - open, sort, receipt and distribute.

Maintain and assist with File Room maintenance tasks - including (but not limited to) general filing, pulling files for correspondence, assisting with file box inventory.

Prepare and send consultant mail daily.

Update and assist with maintenance of client data on the AS/400.

Assist mailroom staff with cycle statement mailings and special projects.

Maintain the Resource Center periodicals, etc.

Assist with completing Medicare Supplement applications – screen for completion and accuracy, enter additional system information as needed.

Help Office Services staff with general cleaning as needed.

Cross train for other Office Services roles and provide backup during absences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent education required
Experience/Skills and Abilities:

Must have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, ability and desire to handle a wide variety of tasks concurrently

Knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel) applications helpful

Experience in an office setting including data entry

Aptitude to learn and/or working knowledge of standard office equipment and ability to learn new software programs (AS400, On-Base)

Must possess a team player attitude

Filing/alphabetizing skills

Ability to work independently and to keep information confidential
