Job Summary:
Guide all leaders and employees in a way that underscores Adventist Health's mission and values and achieves strategic objectives. Oversees all aspects of daily operations and decisions affecting the health and safety of patients or residents and creates a culture of engagement for employees. Guides the facility as the local medical staff liaison and leadership presence for all employees, providers, volunteers and partners.

Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Seven years' related experience: Preferred
- Five years' leadership experience: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Assures that the facilities are in compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations governing the operation and maintenance of the hospital or skilled nursing facility. Executes toward the network operating model. Develops and implements an organizational structure with defined lines of authority and responsibility, allowing departments and employees to accomplish common goals and objectives. Selects qualified department heads and coordinates department operations for an efficient and harmonious organization.
- Ensures high performing facility operations with a focus on cost, efficiency and excellent outcomes. Allocates resources effectively. Establishes procedures for the systematic performance of duties, and coordinates activities, of all departments. Acts as key advisor to senior leadership on the development of overall policy and long-term goals. Guides growth via throughput of emergency and perioperative services.
- Participates at community board meetings, as assigned. Represents Adventist Health at community events through participating in community groups. Negotiates agreements and contract with contractors rendering professional services, as assigned. Keeps abreast of advances in management practices and business operating methods as well as technological advances and economic trends to ensure facility is operating at the most efficient level.
- Observes established hospital and department policies and procedures, including confidentiality, safety, infection control and other environmental regulations. Works collaboratively with others toward improving organizational performance and supports goals and objectives of the organization. Meets organizational standards for attendance, punctuality and use of break times. Maintains and enhances competency through in-services, staff meetings and educational programs.
- Partners with educational institutions and training centers in the community in determining employment needs and assists in training and replacement.
