Stock Clerk, Sr. jobs in Brooklyn, NY

Jet East is currently looking for an energetic and friendly stock clerk to join our team to assist with commissary stock activities.  In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring stock is managed effectively and efficiently, and will take part in receiving, managing, moving, and placing stock in our inventory.

Stock clerks should be physically fit with strong attention to detail, a good work ethic, warehouse, or retail experience, working knowledge of record keeping, inventory management, and safety guidelines.

Primary duties include and are not limited to: 

• Receiving goods from suppliers
• Checking the correctness and condition of deliveries
• Verifying the contents of consignments
• Transferring stock inside the commissary to service vans
• Complying with audits
• Notifying supervisors and managers of inventory levels
• Packing items for delivery to aircraft
• Supporting the site manager in the course of their duties
• Following state and federal safety standards

Job Requirements: 

• A high school qualification or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or retail environment is preferred
• An understanding of terminology, such as receiving, inventory, and shelving
• Excellent customer service abilities
• A friendly and hard-working disposition
• Punctual with good time management skills
• Well presented & professional appearance
• English fluency is mandatory 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to spend long shifts on your feet, perform physical labor, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Non-Physical Requirements:  

• Ability to communicate both in writing and orally in clear and understandable manner with co-workers, customers and Jet East leadership
• Must be able to input and retrieve information from computers
• Experience with Apple and Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets
• Able to travel to location, in all weather conditions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
