Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Stock Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Job SummaryThe store clerk reports directly to the store manager and indirectly to the assistant store managers and shift leaders. This position is responsible for duties such as stocking, cleaning and monitoring perishables. The store clerk provides excellent customer service and assists in maintaining excellent daily store conditions.Responsibilities- Stocks product on platforms, shelving, peg hooks and in baskets or refrigerated cases as needed
- Checks dates on product and rotates product as needed.
- Stocks product neatly and makes sure product is placed above correct price tag
- Handles power and non-powered equipment, pallet jack, and hand tools to move stock as needed after properly trained
- Assist in unloading trucks
Qualifications- Must be 18 years of age
- Proven, efficient retail sales experience; experience in dry grocery, perishable, general grocery, and excellent customer service preferred
