OPERATIONS STOCK CLERK, Facilities-Operations, to stock and distribute materials and supplies in accordance with inventory control procedures. Responsibilities include issuing, shipping, picking up, delivering, and receiving all types of stock and equipment; unpacking incoming goods, inspecting for quality and condition, and repacking as appropriate; stocking shelves; moving stock to secondary storage areas when necessary; working the stockroom counter and issuing tools and materials as requested; maintaining stockroom and keeping areas in an orderly condition; keeping tool loan and stock records up-to-date and reporting to supervisor if tools or stock are not returned; engraving/marking tools and equipment and inspecting and testing items that are loaned to workers; cutting pipe and other material to length; generating receiving reports and coding and processing packing slips and receipts; interacting with carriers/delivery vendors; controlling access to stockroom areas and reporting any unusual occurrences to supervisor; and recording and monitoring material being returned to vendors or sent out for repairs. May utilize a pallet jack to move stock.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; one year of applicable work experience; driver’s license; knowledge of stockroom materials and ability to identify materials and understand stockroom procedures; ability to use power tools such as band saws and bolt cutters; and ability to communicate with supervisor, colleagues, and customers and to read and understand written directions, safety signage, and other documents.
