Stenographer takes dictation in shorthand of correspondence, reports, and other related material. May operate a typewriter to transcribe dictated material. Being a Stenographer may require an associate's degree. Requires 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Stenographer is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
