Is responsible for redistribution of Army Reserve assets utilizing the Army transportation and freight management programs and Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS), such as, Global Freight Management (GFM), Force Asset and Search Tool (FAAST), SYNCADA, Logistics Data Analysis Center (LDAC), DAASINQ, Decision Support Tool (DST), Surface Distribution Deployment Center (SDDC) and Transportability Engineering Agency (TEA).
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinates administrative and operational functions pertaining to the movement of AR government owned cargo by all modes of transportation within CONUS and OCONUS. Prepare all necessary documentation for movements. Determine priority, mode of transportation, routing, quantity and type of equipment required to complete all types of shipments and execute in accordance with DOD 4500.9-R. Plan and oversee the process of inbound and outbound freight shipments, unit moves and shipping of hazardous and sensitive materials. Process and document freight for shipment using the applicable automated system (i.e. GFM) to prepare CBLs. Coordinate with the AR customer to obtain the information necessary too properly complete the shipping documents when information is missing, incorrect or incomplete and affects the shipment. Research to determine or provide response to status of freight shipped in accordance with Freight Traffic Rules, Pub. No.10, DOD 4500.9-R, and other applicable regulations. Maintain and update the local commercial carrier list. Must receive training and be certified in hazardous material movements.
