Position Summary:
Performs wide range of duties for shipping and packing under the general direction of the Manager, Supply Chain, coupled with following/achieving quality and performance standards.
Essential Functions:- Accurately and efficiently pack all finished goods products presented to the packing station.
- Verifies material presented at packing station for inventory accuracy including correct part, correct quantity, and in good condition
- Schedules outbound deliveries that adhere to the order requirement (PPA, Third Party, Will Call, etc.)
- Process shipment batches using ERP system
- Troubleshoot order errors by communicating with Inside Sales team
- Performs order packaging and labeling to required specifications on all outbound shipments while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Completes the order processing cycle by performing all shipment labeling, banding or shrink wrapping, shipment weighing, bills of lading, UPS labeling, manifesting and any other requirement necessary to complete a shipment properly.
- Performs shipments; follows order priority of regular, rush, contract, and warehouse order requirements.
- Keeps work area, picking area, warehouse, materials and equipment clean and in proper working form.
- Continuously strives for excellent customer service by expediting all product into and through the Order Processing Cell to meet customer requirements of due dates, packaging and delivery requirements.
- Detects and reports improper operating or faulty equipment and any unusual conditions to the Manager.
- Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining and following ISO9001-2015 quality standards and standard operating procedures.
- Able and willing to work all shifts and hours as assigned.
- Performs other related duties and projects as required or as directed.
Minimum Job Requirements:- Regular and reliable attendance is required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Able to organize and prioritize orders.
- Previous experience operating a fork truck in a warehouse and pedestrian environment preferred but not required. Training can be provided.
- Experience with 3PL/ transportation carriers.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, leveraging, hoisting, or carrying 25 pounds or more on a regular basis.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, leveraging, hoisting, or carrying 50 pounds or more on an occasional basis.
- Bending, squatting, or reaching (below or overhead) on a regular basis.
- Ability to move freely about the machine shop.
