Staff Nurse - RN - Wound and Enterostomal jobs in Hawaii

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Wound Care Nurse to join our team of medical professionals. As part of our team, you assess wounds incurred through accidents, surgical procedures, along with any other health related issues to determine both immediate treatment needs and long-term treatment plans. Coordinate with supervising physicians regarding case management, and liaise between families and health care administrators. Educate patients and families on care practices and methods to promote wellness and healing. You must be a licensed registered nurse (RN) to be considered for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Independent contractor position that pays well. Further details upon initial interview.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on best practices to promote healing and wellness
• Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines
• Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure smooth recovery processes

Qualifications:

• BSN degree
• Current state licensure as a registered nurse (RN)
• Current state licensure as a nurse practitioner (NP)
• Current state licensure as a physician assistant (PA)
• CPR and basic life support (BLS) certifications
• Certification and prior experience in wound care
• Prior experience in inpatient and palliative care (preferred)
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record is required.
