Staff Nurse - RN - Renal Dialysis provides professional nursing care to assigned patients with kidney conditions that require dialysis treatment. Reviews patient histories, administers medications, and performs dialysis treatments. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Renal Dialysis ensures dialysis machine and all products used during a treatment are properly prepared and meet quality standards. Monitors the patient during dialysis, records observations in patient medical records, and reports any changes in condition to the physician as needed. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Renal Dialysis supervises technicians or nursing aides that perform monitoring or patient care tasks during a treatment. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent. Requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Job Summary
Dialysis staff nurses provide care and treatment to patients on maintenance dialysis.
Dialysis treatment is provided within the scope of nursing practice. Dialysis charge nurses are designated as responsible for each shift.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure is required.
- Nephrology Certification or Certified Dialysis Nurse preferred.

Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $29.50 - $44.25 per hour
