Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned pediatric patients in a home care environment. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient home care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care performs examinations and prescribed procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Responsibilities
Delivering compassionate, individualized nursing care to patients based on their unique needs and treatment plans.
Assists in development, review, and revision of the plan of care.
Building strong emotional connections with patients and their families to offer a supportive and reassuring presence.
Observes, records & report's reaction to treatment & any changes in client’s condition to appropriate personnel and/or physician.
Provides ongoing instruction & supervision of client, family or other health team personnel in the plan of treatment.
Monitor & record patient's condition & document provided care services via electronic charting.
Participates in education programs, quality assessment activities, nurse’s meetings & other staff meetings as required.
Requirements
Active Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse License
Problem solving skills & ability to multi-task
Excellent Communication Skills
