Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned pediatric patients in a home care environment. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient home care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care performs examinations and prescribed procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) and or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As anRN/ LPN, you will provide direct patient care and assist in the implementation of nursing care plans. Your role will change lives of some very special patients !
Duties:
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Provide wound care and dressings as needed
- Assist with diagnostic procedures and examinations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic)
- Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Experience:
- experience working in Long Term Careliving or similar healthcare settings
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- We can train you if you dont have the experience
Skills:
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on compassion and empathy
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and medication administration
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Proficient in infection control practices to prevent the spread of diseases
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
