Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned pediatric patients in a home care environment. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient home care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care performs examinations and prescribed procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. The Home Health registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals in their home. You will be assigned wherever most needed, as well as based on your experience and abilities. The home health RN will be traveling to a patient’s home to administer their services as indicated in the physician’s order and/or Plan of Care, collaborate with the patient and their families to attain their goals as indicated in the plan that is structured to help them maintain their independence and meet their goals. You may be completing an initial or reevaluation of patient assessment & needs to create & modify care plans. The RN will be providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. The RN should be following established professional standards of care, agency guidelines, policy and procedures, and instruct on safety. The RN’s care delivery is consistent with the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics.
