Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned pediatric patients in a home care environment. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient home care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care performs examinations and prescribed procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     Private Duty Nurse Responsibilities:

    • Provide skilled nursing according to the physician-prescribed plan of care and maintain compliance standards through real-time charting
    • Administer medications, feedings, and treatments according to the plan of care
    • Maintain professional, clinical relationships with patients and their families
    • Assist clinical leadership during in-home patient assessments and coordination of care

    Private Duty Nurse Requirements:

    • Current nursing license (LVN or RN) to practice in the state of Texas
    • Current CPR Certification
    • Pediatric experience is preferred but not required. We provide our nurses with substantial (paid) training and ensure proficiency prior to assignment.
