Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned pediatric patients in a home care environment. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient home care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care performs examinations and prescribed procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Pediatrics - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     RN Services Private Duty Care is a locally owned and managed home health care company. For over 25 years, we have serviced high-end clients in the St Louis area. We are seeking caring, dependable and team-oriented individuals who possess a true passion for caring for our geriatric community. We are currently hiring a Registered Nurse with two (2) or more years' experience for home health nursing shifts. Flexible scheduling available.
    Qualifications:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and is currently licensed RN with working knowledge of professional standards and principles.
    • Two years nursing experience, preferably with hospital and geriatric experience.
    • Licensed driver with a clean driving record.
    • Vehicle that is currently insured.
    • Cellphone with Internet and texting capabilities.
    • Daily access to RNS email.
    • Complete all physical and mental demands of job description
    • Covid-19 vaccination preferred.
    Responsibilities:
    • Working knowledge of home safety
    • Complies with RNS policies and procedures including standards of conduct and work ethics, HIPAA policy, dress code.
    • Provides care agreed upon by client, client's family and physician.
    • Agrees to variable work schedules, including (some) weekend and holiday hours, and client changes.
    • Complies with all state and local regulations and accreditation standards, including CPR certification.
    • Has excellent writing and charting skills and prepares reports in a timely manner.
    • Maintains objectivity in coping with the stress of working with acute, chronic and terminally ill clients.
    • Possesses ingenuity to handle medical and situational emergencies.
    • Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
    • Agrees to a rotation of (some) on-call duty
