Staff Nurse - RN - Occupational Health jobs in Rhode Island

Staff Nurse - RN - Occupational Health provides professional nursing care to on-site employees. Treats occupational injuries and illnesses, referring patients to emergency care facilities or outside medical resources as needed. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Occupational Health performs pre-employment physical examinations, including vision and hearing screenings, blood work, and other related tests. Maintains employee medical records and ensures that record-keeping procedures comply with legal and confidentiality requirements. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Occupational Health may be responsible for administering flu vaccination, workers' compensation, disability, and/or employee health and safety training programs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent. Requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Staff Nurse - RN - Occupational Health work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Position Overview:
    Cedar Home Health is seeking experienced RNs for Home Health positions providing skilled nursing visits in patients' homes. As a well-established and privately-owned home health agency, we offer a friendly work environment with ample flexibility. Candidates with prior home care experience are preferred, along with at least 1 year of experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting. Bilingual/Spanish speaking abilities are a plus.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Active RN license in Rhode Island (RI)
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital, skilled nursing, or home care
    • Strong preference for experience with Oasis Assessment and Care Planning
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assess patient condition and deliver nursing care at regular intervals
    • Follow plan of care and make necessary adjustments as patient needs evolve
    • Provide treatment to patients in their homes
    • Instruct and advise patients and/or their families on care protocols
    • Review medications and administer treatments as prescribed by physician
    • Complete and submit all related paperwork, including Electronic Medical Records, accurately and on time

    Weekend Position Requirements:

    • Must have at least 1 year of home health OASIS experience
    • Weekend rotations available for experienced candidates
