Staff Nurse - RN - Obstetrics jobs in Missouri
Staff Nurse - RN - Obstetrics provides professional nursing care to assigned OB/GYN patients. Assists physicians with examinations, labor and delivery, operates and monitors medical equipment, and records relevant statistics, including time of birth. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Obstetrics provides immediate and comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods. Observes patient's condition, records observations in patient medical record, and updates attending physician directly when necessary. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Obstetrics may administer medications and IV solutions as necessary. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Obstetrics's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Job Summary: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.
Actual start dates may be prior to the estimated date listed on this position. Actual start dates are aligned to the beginning of a Mercy pay period and contingent upon final clearance of all required onboarding documents.
