Staff Nurse - RN - Medical Management jobs in Missouri
Staff Nurse - RN - Medical Management coordinates with care providers and plan members with the goal of maximizing member benefits while managing costs. Assesses medical necessity of procedures and/or admissions, conducts pre-certification or authorization, and monitors compliance with established guidelines. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Medical Management assists members in appeals for denied services. Interprets benefits and guides members to choose to the appropriate providers, projects and resources. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Medical Management typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager. Requires a valid state RN license. Job Summary: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.
Actual start dates may be prior to the estimated date listed on this position. Actual start dates are aligned to the beginning of a Mercy pay period and contingent upon final clearance of all required onboarding documents.
