Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in need of intravenous treatment. Administers intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physician. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy determines appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site. Observes patients' IV treatment and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy provides information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. May require CRNI certification as an infusion nurse. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. We are a Team of professional Infusion Nurses working directly with Specialty Pharmacies to Teach & Train patients and caregivers in the home setting. Must have strong clinical nursing skills assessing patients, working with PICC lines and other IV access devices, and drawing labs per protocol. IV therapies include Antibiotics, Steroids, TPN, Biologics, IVIG, and other various specialty medications.
This is a fast-paced environment with referrals 7 days a week. We are very easy to work with and have a great Administrative Office Staff always available to help. No On Call!
The Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for administering medication and managing the general care of patients with serious acute/chronic illnesses in their home. The ideal candidate has the right attitude and personality for working closely with patients and families in their home.
Responsibilities:
Be able to openly communicate with the patient and caregivers and with our staff, pharmacy partners, and physicians.
Document patient responses to IV therapy treatments in a timely manner.
Case Manage the patient during their therapy. Coordinating next visit, supplies, communication, etc.
