Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport provides professional nursing care to critically injured or ill patients throughout all phases of emergency ground and air transportation. Evaluates and treats patients prior to and during transport, ensuring patient safety and implementing life support measures as needed. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport monitors patient condition, documents nursing care, and reports patient status to clinical staff at receiving medical facility. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. May require Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) certification. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Focus Staff is seeking a traveling ER RN to provide patient care to all ages and background who are experiencing trauma, injury, or acute onset symptoms.

    Contract Assignment: 13 Weeks (Temporary, Travel)
    Shift: 3x12 Nights

    Requirements:
    • Motivated candidates who are looking for career growth
    • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
    • BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure
    • Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families

    • Total patient care, including medication, orders, and treatments
    • Accurately assess and triage patients in a thorough and efficient manner
    • Perform the techniques of CPR and other emergency actions accurately and effectively
    • Closely monitor cardiac and physical status of patient
    • Assist in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition
    • Maintain clinical records
    • Utilize sterile procedures
    • All other responsibilities as needed
