Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport provides professional nursing care to critically injured or ill patients throughout all phases of emergency ground and air transportation. Evaluates and treats patients prior to and during transport, ensuring patient safety and implementing life support measures as needed. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport monitors patient condition, documents nursing care, and reports patient status to clinical staff at receiving medical facility. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. May require Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) certification. The Flight Center is different from other flight schools or flying clubs in a number of ways. We have a strong flying club feel and a great sense of community. We have many events each month, both training and social. We are a Part 61 school with a strong, thorough syllabus which is the most effective way we know to create highly competent pilots who enjoy the training experience.

Note: We don’t have a minimum hours requirement. New CFIs are welcome to apply. You must have basic flight skill competency as listed, and be able to extend your knowledge and skills via participating in our training program. We are always looking for safe, enthusiastic, and effective flight instructors.
Newly hired CFIs go through a paid 2 1/2-week training program (June 3rd - June 19th) that covers SCFC teaching methodologies, SCFC’s Private Pilot syllabus, local airspace familiarization, business policies/procedures, and fleet checkouts. At the end of the four weeks, candidates that demonstrate competency in all phases of the program are assigned students and join the club as staff instructors.
