Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport jobs in Lompoc, CA

Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport provides professional nursing care to critically injured or ill patients throughout all phases of emergency ground and air transportation. Evaluates and treats patients prior to and during transport, ensuring patient safety and implementing life support measures as needed. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport monitors patient condition, documents nursing care, and reports patient status to clinical staff at receiving medical facility. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. May require Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) certification. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes
    • Maintain detailed records of patients' medical histories, symptoms, and conditions
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
    • Respond to emergency nursing situations and provide critical care when needed
    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Valid RN license to practice in the state of California
    • Current CPR certification
    • Recent physical and TB test
    • At least 1-year experience working in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability and willingness to adhere to health and safety standards at all times
