Staff Nurse - RN - Cardiac Catherization provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in the coronary care unit by providing quality care to heart disease and heart attack patients and families. Performs diagnostic evaluations of the arteries of the heart and identifies blockages. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Cardiac Catherization assists physician during procedures. Administers medications and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Cardiac Catherization monitors patient's status before, during, and after procedures. Observes patients' progress, records observations in patient medical record, and updates attending physician directly when necessary. Educates patients and families about the patients illness and treatment plan. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Staff Nurse - RN - Cardiac Catherization's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. JOB SUMMARY:
The RN inpatient Nurse assesses patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. The inpatient Registered Nurse administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The RN may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The inpatient RN will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects. The RN will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment required.
BLS required prior to orientation completion.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
Six months RN experience preferred
