Staff Nurse - RN - Burn jobs in Oklahoma
Staff Nurse - RN - Burn provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in the burn unit. Examines, prepares, cleans, and dresses patient burn wounds. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Burn evaluates, plans, and documents nursing care for burn patients, as needed. Promotes patients' well-being by teaching patients and families to understand burn wound conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Burn may administer medication and IV treatments to alleviate patients' pain and discomfort. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Burn's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Responsibilities
Individuals within this job classification are accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care. The Registered Nurse (RN) must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
