    We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Security Officer – Fanduel Sportsbook with the SES Department. This position will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, team members, and company assets while providing excellent customer service. The focus shall always be on ensuring strict compliance standards are met, while maintaining a positive attitude that promotes a comfortable environment for both external and internal guests to enjoy the premier sportsbook gaming destination in Arizona.

    What Will You Do:

    • Check identification of all guests entering the Fanduel sportsbook
    • Use metal detector and x-ray machines to ensure a safe environment
    • Patrol and inspect assigned areas
    • Secure all exits, doors, and windows after end of operations
    • Monitor guest and team member passage in and out of the sportsbook
    • Preserve the scene of criminal activity for investigators and outside agencies
    • Transport and guard the movement of company funds throughout the sportsbook
    • Interact with the public in a professional manner when providing assistance, giving directions and responding to inquiries
    • Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team member
    • Assist with customer disputes, intoxicated subjects and criminal matters
    • Resolve complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer to management
    • Notify supervisor, manager, surveillance of any unusual activity, incidents or crimes
    • Responsible for checking for and reporting safety hazards
    • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    What We Need From Our Officers:

    • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in security with a focus on guest service is preferred
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming and/or racing license and satisfy all regulatory requirements
    • Ability to actively listen to what others have to say and restate information to ensure understanding
    • Ability to respond to complaints and be able to resolve them in a safe, professional, and courteous manner
    • Ability to handle complaints with sensitivity

    • Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and some holidays to meet business needs
    • This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather is <5%
    • M-Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Must possess great Visual Acuity.
    • Dexterity to handle radios, vehicle screening mirrors, hand wands and other essential equipment.
    • Ability to lift items weighing 25 pounds or more such as barricade, boxes, bags, etc.
    • Ability to carry objects of 30 yards without assistance.
    • Ability to physically defend themselves and others.
    • Ability to conduct multiple foot patrols of the facility and exterior space without assistance and in all weather conditions.
    • Ability to stand at fixed posts for several hours at a time in all weather conditions.
    • Subject to reaching, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions of the job.
    • Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner without assistance.
    • Ability to assist guests and staff in emergencies, including pushing wheelchairs and/or picking up, dragging, or otherwise moving persons in distress.
    • Due to the nature of our business, the employee will work in an environment with large crowds and loud noises to include sporting and concert events.
