Sportsbook Writer processes bets for customers who are betting on the outcomes of sporting events. Keeps track of odds and payoff amounts. Being a Sportsbook Writer possesses knowledge of sports betting as it relates to handicapping, point spreads, and money lines. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Sportsbook Writer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Sportsbook Writer may require 0-1 year of general work experience. DESCRIPTION: Take orders, serves good and beverages to customers at tables in dining area. Process transactions pertaining to food and beverage charges. Title 24: Non safety sensitive position.
DUTIES:
· Provides continuous, prompt, and courteous service to customers.
· Incorporate safe work practices in job performance and complies with safety practices.
· Explains menu items and specials, makes recommendations, and takes food orders and enters in the POS system.
· Serves food and beverage according to customer specifications, checks on customers for condiments, beverages or additional food items and follows up with satisfaction of customers.
· Assists all other front staff when the need arises by bussing, cashiering, hosting, clearing, or setting tables, being a team player, etc.
· Effectively works and communicates with other departments, vendors, customers to resolve problems and expedite work or services.
· Complies with all MICS, rule, regulations, policies & procedures of the department.
· Able to communicate orally and in writing.
· Practice and always maintain confidentiality.
· Attends all mandatory trainings.
· All other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be 18 years of age.
· Must have a high school diploma or GED.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
· Must be dependable, reliable, and able to work alternating shifts, including peak hours, promotions, holidays, and weekends.
· Attendance at all trainings and opportunities offered such as: CPR/First Aid, ServSafe are both mandatory.
· Must be able to demonstrate their US work authorization during the employment verification process.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
· Must be able to stoop, knee, crawl, stand, walk, reach near and far.
· Must have the ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, and unexpected events at times.
· Must have the ability to adapt quickly to rapid changes while maintaining composure and excellent guest relations under all circumstances.
· Must be able to lift, up to 25lbs.
· Must be able to demonstrate their US work authorization during the employment verification process.
· Must be able to pass a background investigation.
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Test.
· Must have a valid Driver’s License.
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
· Native American preference applies.
· Must have covid vaccinations, including booster.
