Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor manages the daily operations of an organization's audiology and speech therapy functions. Plans and develops speech therapy programs and evaluates program objectives and results to determine effectiveness. Being an Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor reviews assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure compliance with professional standards and regulations. Monitors inventories and supplies and tracks spending to ensure adherence to departmental budgets. Additionally, Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor implements operational procedures to ensure effective care, promote best practices, and facilitate efficient workflow. Provides professional guidance and oversight to resolve complex cases or issues. Recruits, hires, and manages staff and designs and leads development and training activities. May require a master's degree in audiology or speech pathology. Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a director. The Speech and Language Therapy Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating pediatric patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This is a 1099 contract position open for the summer (May 20-August 10, 2024). Ideally, we are looking for a public school SLP who is looking to earn extra money over the summer. We are a small private practice and provide therapy services at a variety of daycares and schools in the Mt. Juliet/Hermitage area. This job will require some travel.

    Responsibilities:
    - Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
    - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
    - Provide therapy sessions to patients to improve speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities
    - Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
    - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
    - Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication skills and manage swallowing difficulties
    - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
    - Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology

    Skills:
    - Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
    - In-depth understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech, language, communication, and swallowing
    - Excellent client care skills with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships
    - Strong assessment skills to accurately evaluate patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities

    Requirements:
    - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
    - Valid Tennessee licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
    - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required
