Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments in a nursing home or long term care setting. Conducts patient evaluation of speech and language skills using applicable diagnostic materials and tools. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating and counseling the patient. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home documents assessment and patient progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment. Ensures that treatment aligns with patient needs and is within the parameters set by the payer. Requires a master's degree in speech pathology or equivalent. Requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and may require a state license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Speech and Language Pathologist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     A unique opportunity awaits you! Launch Speech and Reading is a thriving practice in Madison, Wisconsin. We provide speech therapy and reading intervention to children and adults throughout Wisconsin. We pay for training, assist with CEUs and ASHA certification, provide a healthcare stipend, offer a 401K, and provide a supportive environment for you to develop as a professional. CFYs are welcome!

    We are currently in search of SLPs to provide services at our Madison clinic. If you are a creative, motivated SLP who is experienced with school-based assignments, we want to hear from you!

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • In-person and virtual speech and language evaluations and intervention
    • Attendance at all required staff and individual meetings
    • Completion of required paperwork in timely manner
    • Collaborative work with clinical staff
    • Timely maintenance of work calendar
    • Case management services as required by the schools and/or Launch, including scheduling, completing session notes, and preparing for and conducting IEP meetings.
    • Professional presentation in dress and manner
    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology
    • ASHA certification
    • Wisconsin DPI license
