Speech and Language Pathologist assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments. Conducts evaluations of an individual's speech and language skills using applicable diagnostic materials and tools. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating, and counseling. Additionally, Speech and Language Pathologist completes required documentation to record assessment and progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to provide effective therapies. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment. Requires a master's degree in speech pathology. Requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Speech and Language Pathologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating pediatric patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This is a 1099 contract position open for the summer (May 20-August 10, 2024). Ideally, we are looking for a public school SLP who is looking to earn extra money over the summer. We are a small private practice and provide therapy services at a variety of daycares and schools in the Mt. Juliet/Hermitage area. This job will require some travel.

    Responsibilities:
    - Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
    - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
    - Provide therapy sessions to patients to improve speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities
    - Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
    - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
    - Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication skills and manage swallowing difficulties
    - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
    - Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology

    Skills:
    - Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
    - In-depth understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech, language, communication, and swallowing
    - Excellent client care skills with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships
    - Strong assessment skills to accurately evaluate patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities

    Requirements:
    - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
    - Valid Tennessee licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
    - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required
