Specialty and Metal Sprayer, Sr. operates thermal spray. Prepares, masks, and applies metal spray coatings to rebuild parts. Being a Specialty and Metal Sprayer, Sr. able to perform all aspects of metal spray, including combustion, wire arc and thermal spray functions. Performs equipment maintenance, job quotes, sets up machines. Additionally, Specialty and Metal Sprayer, Sr. reads prints and drawings. Performs machine inspection. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Specialty and Metal Sprayer, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Work includes dismantling metals, cutting materials, and assisting customers unloading.
Some heavy lifting may be required. Experience using shop tools will be a plus. Not required but metal recycling will also be a plus.
