Specialty and Metal Sprayer operates thermal spray. Prepares, masks, and applies metal spray coatings to rebuild parts. Being a Specialty and Metal Sprayer has basic coating skills, masking procedures, measuring skills and able to follow metal spray equipment operation guidelines. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Specialty and Metal Sprayer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Specialty and Metal Sprayer may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Class A Metal Finisher
Rate of Pay: $28.00 per hour-contract position
1st, 2nd, & 3rd Available
This position does include weekends.
• File, sand, de-burr
• Perform assigned duties using manual, pneumatic and electric hand tools and machines
• Manipulate work piece or tool manually
• Develop and/or recommend techniques for Class A rework without fillers
• Inspect and measure work piece to verify conformance to specifications
• Work in a fast paced environment while keeping up with production demands
• Train Press line, Assembly, Quality and 3rd party inspectors on Defect Recognition and Surface Requirements
• Document daily rework according to company standards
• Promote all company policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to 5S methods
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited learning institution.
Experience:
Tools: Must have their own hand tools. DA (Dual-action sander), Grinder, hand tools, etc.
