Specialty Pharmacy Technician jobs in Tampa, FL
Specialty Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense high dollar/specialty medications (e.g. Oncology, Multiple Sclerosis). Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Specialty Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Additionally, Specialty Pharmacy Technician requires a high school diploma. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Specialty Pharmacy Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Specialty Pharmacy Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Praxis Specialty Pharmacy is hiring Full-Time Pharmacy Technicians to join our team! Praxis, located in Tampa, Florida, is a mail service and specialty pharmacy setting with regular onsite shifts Monday through Friday. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to multitask effectively, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Candidates will be required to process collectively 1200-1600 pharmacy orders a day, must be able to lift at least 15 pounds and stand during their entire 8 hour shift. Primary Responsibilities:
● Use multiple computer systems including pharmacy management, telephony and shipping software
● All technician functions allowed within Florida regulations in support of the supervising pharmacist including but not limited to: entering prescriptions, filling prescriptions, packing prescriptions for nationwide shipping and answering phone calls.
● Pharmacy experience preferred but not required
