Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications. This position is based in a hospital setting and requires strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient service.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret prescriptions and medication orders
- Perform calculations to determine appropriate medication dosages
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and labeling
- Assist in the preparation of sterile IV infusions using aseptic technique
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their medication-related inquiries and concerns
- Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system
- Perform medication reconciliation for patients upon admission and discharge

Requirements:
- Valid Pharmacy Technician certification or license
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and procedures
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques, including inhalation medications
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform calculations accurately
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

Note: All positions at our organization are paid positions, including internships.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
